The Tropics Derma Research& Training Institute (TDRTI) is a scientific and educational
institution dedicated to advancing the understanding of skin care challenges in tropical environments through rigorous research, structured training, and evidence-based practice.

Established to address the distinct beauty, wellness, and dermatological needs encountered in regions characterized by tropical climates, TDRTI integrates scientific inquiry with professional education to elevate standards of practice in cosmetology, dermatology, and related health sciences. OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Edith F. Gibson is a Tropical Skincare Scientist, Medical Esthetician, and institutional architect pioneering evidence-based dermatological science for melanin-rich skin in equatorial climates. She is the Founder of XCAPE by Edith Delight and the Tropics Derma Research & Training Institute (TDRTI), a scientific and educational institution advancing structured research, university collaboration, and professional certification across Africa and beyond.
